5 Easy Ways to Get Homework Done when You Don't Want To

Updated: Jul 28, 2022

Homework can be a drag, but it's got to be done to keep your grades up and stay on track during school.

1. Start with an easy assignment.

You might get yourself into homework mode by doing your easiest assignment first. Make sure to allot time for the challenging tasks later so that you may complete all of your work.

2. Work on your assignments with your buddies.

Ask your pals if they want to establish a homework group if they are having trouble keeping up with their schoolwork too. This will keep everyone motivated.

3. Make completing assignments a competition with yourself.

Set yourself some goals, then work to achieve them. Set a goal to improve at a specific assignment that you frequently struggle with. Try to outperform your most recent grade in each class.

4. Understand why you’re doing homework so it doesn’t feel pointless.

Reasons to do homework include:

1# gaining knowledge that will probably be useful for a future assignment.

2# Demonstrate to your teacher that you understood the homework so they won't keep giving it to you.

3# achieving a high grade.

5. When you finish a task, treat yourself.

Set up a system where you receive a small reward for completing each question or piece of homework. You can reward yourself with 5 minutes of phone time, walking around the block, or even chatting with a friend. Whatever your reward, be sure you'll look forward to it so you can keep yourself motivated.
