It was a typical Tuesday evening, and Jane and her friends, Sarah and David, had decided to break into the abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town. They had heard rumors of the mansion being haunted and wanted to see for themselves if it was true. The plan was simple, sneak in, take some pictures and leave unnoticed, but things didn't go as planned.

As they approached the mansion, they saw that the gates were locked and the fence seemed impenetrable. However, Sarah had brought bolt cutters, and they soon found a weak point in the fence, and they slipped through. They made their way to the mansion, and as they entered, they were greeted with the musty smell of decay and neglect. The furniture was covered in dust, and cobwebs hung from the ceiling.

As they explored the mansion, they heard strange noises coming from upstairs. Jane suggested they should leave, but Sarah and David were eager to find out what was making the noise. So, they climbed the stairs and found themselves in front of a door that was locked. David tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. They decided to break the lock and as they did, they were met with a loud screeching noise. Suddenly, the door burst open, and they were confronted by a group of teenagers, who had also decided to explore the mansion.

Feeling embarrassed, Jane and her friends quickly left the mansion, but as they were leaving, they heard the sound of sirens in the distance. They realized that the noise they had heard earlier was the alarm, and they had triggered it when they broke the lock. They started to run, but they were soon caught by the police.

In the end, they were arrested and charged with breaking and entering. They had to pay a fine and do community service, their plan had gone wrong and they had to face the consequences of their actions. They learned that it's better to be safe than sorry, and they decided to stick to legal activities in the future.
